MTA Long Island Rail Road
(LIRR), East Side Access Project, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Design, Construction Phase Services, Post Blast Inspection, CADD Support, New York City, 2009 - present

The East Side Access project will connect the LIRR's Main and Port Washington Lines in Queens to a new LIRR terminal beneath Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. The new connection will increase the LIRR's capacity into Manhattan, and dramatically shorten travel time for Long Island and eastern Queens commuters traveling to the east side of Manhattan.


                        

MTA Bridges and Tunnels, Inspection of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, the Manhattan Ventilation Building, the Governors Island Ventilation Building and other associated facilities, including emergency inspection after Hurricane Sandy, New York City, 2011, 2012

The Brooklyn Battery Tunnel connects Brooklyn and Manhattan. It consists of twin tubes, carrying four traffic lanes, and at 9,117 feet is the longest continuous underwater vehicular tunnel in North America. It was opened to traffic in 1950.

MTA Bridges and Tunnels, Inspection of Henry-Hudson Bridge, New York City, 2011, 2013, 2014 

The Henry Hudson Bridge is a steel arch bridge connecting the Bronx and Manhattan. The bridge was the longest plate girder arch and fixed arch bridge in the world when it opened in 1936. The bridge was named to commemorate the voyage of Henry Hudson on the Half Moon, which anchored near the site in 1609.

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Completed in 1883, it connects Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River. With a main span of 1,595.5 feet, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world from its opening until 1903, and the first steel-wire suspension bridge.
